Ride One, LLC (“RideOne”) operates a two-way SMS/text messaging program to provide customers and guests with important information related to their hot air balloon booking experience and to enable direct communication with balloon operators. By opting in to our text messaging program, you agree to the following terms.
Program Description
RideOne’s text messaging program is a two-way communication channel that delivers booking-related messages to your mobile device and allows you to reply to interact with our system and communicate with your balloon operator. These messages help ensure you have a smooth and informed experience from the moment you book through your flight day.
Types of Messages
Messages We Send to You (Outbound):
- Booking confirmations and receipts
- Flight reminders (day-before and day-of notifications)
- Weather-related alerts and schedule changes
- Rebooking notifications and options
- Waiver completion reminders
- Check-in instructions and meeting location details
- Customer service responses to your inquiries
Messages You Can Send to Us (Inbound):
- Reply to confirm or acknowledge your booking or attendance
- Respond to rebooking options when your flight is rescheduled
- Ask questions about your upcoming flight experience
- Communicate directly with your balloon operator through the platform
- Reply STOP to opt out of the program
- Reply HELP for assistance
If you send a reply our system does not recognize, you will receive an automated response directing you to reply HELP, contact support, or visit our website for assistance.
Message Frequency
Message frequency varies based on your booking activity, flight schedule, and your replies. For a typical single booking, you can expect to receive approximately 3–8 outbound messages (confirmation, reminders, day-of updates). Additional messages may be sent in the event of weather-related schedule changes. Two-way conversations initiated by you or your balloon operator may result in additional message exchanges. You will not receive marketing or promotional messages unless you separately opt in to such communications.
How to Opt In
You may opt in to receive SMS messages from RideOne by:
- Providing your mobile phone number during the booking process and checking the SMS consent box
- Providing your mobile phone number through our website contact or demo request forms with SMS consent
- Texting a designated keyword to our short code or phone number when prompted
By opting in, you confirm that you are the owner or authorized user of the mobile phone number provided and that you consent to send and receive text messages through RideOne’s two-way SMS program at that number.
How to Opt Out
You may opt out of the SMS program at any time by replying STOP to any message from RideOne. Upon opting out, you will receive a single confirmation message stating: “You have been unsubscribed from RideOne messages. You will no longer receive texts from us. Reply HELP for assistance.”
Please note that opting out ends both inbound and outbound messaging. You will no longer be able to send or receive text messages through RideOne. This may affect your ability to receive important time-sensitive flight notifications such as weather cancellations or schedule changes, and you will no longer be able to communicate with your operator via text. You will continue to receive email notifications if you have a valid email address on file.

Message and data rates may apply to both messages you receive from RideOne and messages you send to us, depending on your mobile carrier and plan. RideOne does not charge any additional fees for SMS messages, but standard carrier messaging rates apply. Please contact your wireless provider for details about your text messaging plan.
Consent Not Required for Purchase
Your consent to participate in our two-way text messaging program is not required as a condition of purchasing any goods or services from RideOne or its balloon operator partners. You may complete bookings and use the RideOne platform without opting in to SMS communications.

We will never sell, rent, lease, or share your mobile phone number, message content, or any personal information collected through our SMS program with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes.
Message content may be stored as part of your booking record to provide continuity of service and enable balloon operators to reference prior communications. Information shared via our SMS program may be aggregated and anonymized for internal analytics purposes only.
Modifications
RideOne reserves the right to modify these SMS Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date. Your continued participation in our SMS program after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
